Which One is the Best Diet Out There?

I don't know about you, but it can be pretty overwhelming with all of the different diet plans out there. Every time I turn around, it seems there's another one to investigate. So just to name a few: South Beach Diet, Cheat to Lose Diet, Abs Diet, 5 Factor Diet, Best Life Diet, Mediterranean Diet, Skinny B*****, Weight Watchers, Eat Clean Diet, etc. So which one is the best? Well, there really isn't one - it's really about which one works the best for you personally because all diets essentially do the exact same thing. Crazy, huh?! It's true! Whether you're counting carbs, loading up on protein, cutting fat, ordering meal delivery service, eating six cookies a day, or even eating every single meal out, if you're losing weight, then it's because of one reason -- you're consuming fewer calories than you're burning. A recent study by the New England Journal of Medicine shows this by comparing several popular diets in action -- each of which reduced caloric intake by the same amount. The study found that every diet yields practically the same exact weight-loss results.
So why are there so many different diets out there, and why do some work for certain people but not for others? It's all about finding a method of eating you can stick with -- one that allows you to eat fewer calories than you burn while still feeling satisfied. So if carby starches make you want to eat more, a low-carb diet might be the way to go to keep calorie counts down. If tracking POINTS® helps you keep calories in check, go for it. This does NOT mean all diets are good for you -- if you consume 1,200 calories' worth of donuts or fried chicken daily, you probably won't feel great or be doing your body any favors! The key is to find a balanced approach that you can live with comfortably.
I've personally tried most of those that I listed up there, and carb cutting for me doesn't work at all. What I've found to work the best for me is Weight Watchers and tracking points while making sure to choose clean, healthy foods. To be completely honest, this plan works for me because it's kind of like a game as far as balancing my points, and allows me to work in moderation without feeling guilty. But that doesn't mean it'll be the same for you. Do your research, and find a plan that's healthy and that you can stick with so you can finally be successful on this journey.

Here's to living the fit life!
