So I had an interesting conversation with some girls from work last week. We were watching the Biggest Loser, and Jillian was talking about the importance of eating breakfast every day to get your metabolism revved up for the day. One mentioned that she doesn't like to eat breakfast because she ends up feeling hungrier soon after. So my obvious question was, "Well, what are you eating for breakfast?" Her answer: two small pieces of cinnamon raisin bread. Well for heaven's sake, of course she's still hungry after that breakfast! Where's the protein? Why the refined processed food?
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day so there's no reason to rush through it and choose unhealthy options. Try a bowl of oatmeal or multi-grain toast with a side of egg whites. Or go for a small bowl of multi-grain cereal (watch the sugar and portion size!) with a side of turkey bacon or veggie sausage pattie.
Just something to think about if you're having a hard time fitting in that breakfast.

Big fan of Quaker's instand oatmeal -- the "Weight Control" cinnamon flavor. Has extra protein to beat down those hunger pangs.
