"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - Mark Twain
I saw Jim Carey's Yes Man this weekend, and overall, it was pretty good. It was definitely entertaining. My favorite part was the message behind the movie - are you living your life or are you watching it pass you by? Of course, the movie took that message of taking advantage of opportunities to the comedic extreme, but I just can't shake the theme. I left thinking about the paths in life I didn't take, and why I didn't take them. Have I been afraid of what being successful will bring? Or about the chance of failing? How about you? What's been holding you back?
We need to start challenging our current way of thinking. We need to start saying, "Heck yeah!" to those opportunities that present themselves. It's time to start being healthy, to try new things and to really live our lives to the fullest. Where you do you want to be this summer with your fitness goals? Do you want the same ol' same ol' or do you want to charge out on to that beach being proud of what you have accomplished? I will be that person charging into the waves instead of hiding under my umbrella with my cover up.
